DIABETES

Prediabetes
Prediabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not yet high enough to be classified as type 2 diabetes.

This stage acts as a warning sign, indicating a high risk of developing type 2 diabetes if lifestyle changes, such as improving diet and increasing physical activity, are not adopted.

People with prediabetes typically don’t experience noticeable symptoms. Diagnosis of the condition is straightforward and can be done during a routine doctor’s visit. The A1c blood test, which measures average blood glucose control over the past 2 to 3 months, is commonly used for this purpose.

Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes is a chronic autoimmune disorder in which the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas are destroyed by the body’s immune system. Primarily diagnosed in children, teens, and young adults, it can develop at any stage of life.
Symptoms of type 1 can be varied and may include excessive hunger, an unusual increase in thirst, blurred vision, fatigue, frequent urination, and unexplained weight loss.

If you or a loved one are experiencing one or more of these symptoms, it’s important to consult a doctor promptly. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to managing type 1 diabetes effectively and preventing potential complications.

Type 2 Diabetes
According to the American Diabetes Association, Type 2 diabetes (insulin resistance) is the most common form of diabetes. Experts agree that healthy eating is the best way to manage this health challenge. Reflexology & Polarity Therapy Plus program is designed to make healthy eating effortless and delicious while reducing glucose levels.

Every year, we help dozens of people who are already on medication, or are just diagnosed with a pre-diabetic condition. As a result of the Integrative nutrition plan, doctors have been able to decrease the medication for these patients and, in some cases, remove it completely. We use a scientifically proven method: elimination of processed foods, high fats, and carbs. We increase intake of vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids. We create a diet high in antioxidants and fiber, which helps your body metabolize glucose, increases your energy, and heals you from within.

But the real secret to our success is how we combine the ingredients, how we analyze your taste and match it with your food preference to come up with recipes your entire family will love.

Diabetes Medication
The primary goal in managing diabetes is to maintain blood sugar levels within a target range. This careful balancing act aims to minimize high blood sugar levels while avoiding dangerously low levels. Effective diabetes management involves a comprehensive approach that includes a variety of treatments.

These therapies include insulin, oral medications, and non-insulin injectable medications.

Additionally, dietary adjustments, an increase in physical activity, and other lifestyle changes can play a significant role. Together, these diverse treatment options can work together to manage diabetes effectively.

Diabetes Complications
Over time, high blood glucose can have negative effects on the body, potentially leading to a range of health issues commonly referred to as complications.

These complications develop because high glucose levels can damage blood vessels and nerves, affecting various organs. Common complications associated with diabetes include heart disease, chronic kidney disease (CKD), nerve damage leading to foot problems, and vision loss.

Fortunately, these complications can often be delayed or even prevented with careful diabetes management. This includes routine medical checkups, regular blood sugar monitoring, adherence to prescribed medications, and lifestyle changes such as eating a balanced diet and getting regular exercise.
